Love
I’m delighted to introduce the latest competition winner and next member to enter our Ministry of Glamour. The competition is an opportunity to join our Ministry of Glamour, by winning a makeover and photo shoot with the fabulous #TeamHeaven.
Ladies and gentlemen, I give you Julie Reason.
Here’s Julie’s winning entry:
Obviously after reading that email there was no doubt that Julie would be taking her place in the Ministry of Glamour. I couldn’t wait to call her to tell her the news.
I don’t think she believed me at first, taking a while for the news to sink in, but after we met to talk through everything, Julie was raring to go.
Julie is one of the most inspirational women I have ever met. She’s strong, determined, brave and beautiful. I feel very privileged to have met her.
So it was with huge pleasure that I was able to put her in the talented hands of Jenna Kelly (make up artist), Hilary Jones (hair) and Adrian Heaven (photos).
With Julie posing like a professional, the whole evening was one of fun and excitement, where Julie was plied with champagne and the most stunning floral arrangement by the talented Rianon Jones.
I’ll hand you over to Julie to tell you more about herself and how she found the whole experience:
“I am a 40 year old wife and mother of three daughters aged 10, 11 and 15.
I have been living with Stage IV Breast Cancer since 2014. The last few years have been hard with numerous surgeries, radiotherapy and constant chemotherapy.
For me, losing my hair twice has been the hardest part. I felt like I had lost my identity, my femininity.
So when I read about a competition to win a glamorous makeover and photo shoot with Emma Heaven, I stepped outside of my comfort zone and nominated myself.
The whole experience was amazing, from initially meeting Emma to getting pampered by her fantastic team. They made me feel welcomed and special.
Looking in the mirror I could hardly recognise myself. And I didn’t see a cancer patient looking back at me.
I am about to lose my hair once again so this opportunity couldn’t have come at a better time and I really can’t thank Emma enough for giving me a huge confidence boost and making me realise I can still look and feel feminine and womanly.”
Now please step through the door of the Ministry Of Glamour to see Julie in all her glamorous glory...
And so the search begins once more.
