It's All About Me (July)
Some people wear clothes because they have to. They get up, put something on and off they go.
I love the way clothes make me feel - the confidence they give me - the way they can reflect or transform my mood.
I think with age comes confidence - when you start to feel comfortable in your own skin - when you don’t really care what other people think - when you start to dress for you.
I want to live longer by being fit and healthy and looking after myself.
I care about my appearance and want to make the most of what Mother Nature gave me.
I have a lifelong interest in fashion and beauty and I surround myself with fabulous friends who have come with me on this incredible journey.
Life’s too short to not glam up and party and I want to share my passion for fashion with you... so welcome to my world.
It’s All About Me
This is my Website Launch Evening, Special Edition. So let me tell you all about this fabulous evening.
Party day began with a training session with Tara Hammett. And no, she didn’t go easy on me as it was my big day! In fact she made me trial her new DVD routines, with exercises I had never done before - thanks Tara.
Next stop was Irresistible Beauty where I had matching polish and glitter applied to my finger and toe nails. I also had a lash lift and brow tint - with lots of coffee and excited chatter about the night ahead.
After a quick lunch it was time for Hilary to get to work on my hair. We had already done a trial - so my hair flew up in no time at all. It was a fun afternoon and quite a spectacle having my hair put up by Hilary wearing her curlers! What a multitasker!
Once home, my make up was applied and on went my party outfit. With a celebratory glass of fizz in hand, I was ready and waiting for the fabulous Phantom Rolls Royce to arrive. This was arranged by the wonderful Jan Johnson of Phantom Prestige Car Hire Swansea. Thank you Jan. I felt like a princess.
We arrived at Chic Studio Swansea for a photo shoot and pre-launch drinks with the guests. There was an electric atmosphere with Richie Crossley and Tom Proudfoot taking photos of everyone and videographer Rhys Warlow capturing all the fun on film.
Finally. Party time! where we headed downstairs to Coast Italia to walk the red carpet into the glamorous venue with glasses of fizz flowing, served by the friendly staff. Thank you Coast Italia. You exceeded expectations with beautiful food and drink. A truly wonderful evening.
We also devoured mini cupcakes and Welsh cakes made by the lovely Wanda of The Gingernut Bakery in Skewen. Thank you Wanda. They went down a storm.
Speech Time. The part of the evening that I was most nervous about, went really well. This was my chance to thank everybody who attended the launch, and the people who had contributed to the evening.
All too soon it was time to finish the party at Coast Italia and hand out the goodie bags. Understandably some people still wanted to party; so the evening continued in style with a V.I.P. booth at Peppermint Bar on Wind Street thanks to the lovely Sandra Wong.
And the morning after? Let's just say that there were a lot of tired people in work in Swansea that day!
