**Mrs Heaven**

This shoot was my husband Adrian’s idea. After the last shoot he asked; “Can we just do a ‘normal’ shoot for once, without you having loads of latex, blood, glitter or gore all over you?!”

I pondered his suggestion for all of 30 seconds, and an idea started to form. It would be refreshing to do a ‘normal’ shoot and in the run up to my birthday- the last year of being in my 40s-so let’s mark the occasion in style; and it was about time I changed the profile picture on my social media accounts - which hadn’t been updated for a few years!

The shoot would be simplistic, pared back and no theme. No Emma made up as a monster/villain, mythical creature, nor covered in feathers, glitter, jewels and sparkles, or any other outrageous embellishments, hats or paraphernalia. Just Emma - the wife.

I would style my own hair (wild, big and curly) and apply my own makeup. My makeup of choice to create a natural, glam look was a Charlotte Tilbury takeover, except for my base which is a magic potion I devised using Sarah Chapman Skinesis Skin Insurance SPF30, Scott Barnes Body Bling Platinum, and Heliocare 360 Fluid Cream.

Then I threw on some of Adrian’s shirts - yes they were a little bit flash and shiny, obviously! and finally, the whole shoot would be filmed and photographed by Adrian. No crew, just me and my husband.
