Hell yes!!! Team Heaven could certainly do with one of these to help out around the place. So in our own inimitable way, we got a little inventive and decided to create our very own E-Robot.

The first port of call was a visit to Hilary in Pimped Up Pins, to prepare my hair for a brightly-coloured, funky wig, in an off the scale shade of neon green!!!

One mad dash to the car - it wasn’t the prettiest of sights, tightly-plaited hair, as close to my scalp as humanly possible in readiness for the wig - and not really looking at my best look for bumping into people. That said, the world was about to witness on film just how ‘glam’ I looked; even more so when the fetching wig net was added. Sigh, the glamour of the greasepaint and bright lights!

Next up, was our “what do you mean no blood or gore this month?” special effects makeup artist Beth, who got to work on her robotic masterpiece.

Her desired stash of special effects goodies included circuit boards, cogs, electrical wires, and gold and silver leaf; just your average products every gal keeps in her makeup bag… And how could I possibly forget, my beloved contact lenses which leave me blinking furiously like a newborn kitten! But one must ‘suffer’ for one’s art...

Our #SFX artist got to work and soon, the robot started to take shape and come to life. It was a proud moment when Beth stepped away from her ‘canvas’, paintbrush in hand, to survey her latest work of art - Team Heaven’s own personal robot. And in keeping with the theme of the magazine - where each month we take you behind the scenes to show you the creative process - with E-Robot you get to have a peak of its inner workings. Cogs and all!
