Let us make your dream become a reality...

 LoveSIGNATURE

I’d like to introduce to you the winner of our competition and the next member of our Ministry Of Glamour. Ladies and gentlemen, I give you Lisa Richards.

The competition was an opportunity to join our Ministry of Glamour, by winning a makeover, photo shoot and a dinner for two at Coast restaurant, High Street, Swansea.

Lisa was nominated by her friend Clare Harris on behalf of their friendship group, and as soon as I read her email I just knew she was our winner.

Here is Clare’s email...

Isn’t it simply wonderful? I’m sure you’ll agree, she is a worthy winner.

Photo 1When I called Lisa to tell her she had been nominated and won the competition she was absolutely thrilled and obviously shocked once she realised it wasn’t a joke! She had just been discussing with her colleagues that it was about time her luck would change and something special would happen - and then I called! What a fabulous coincidence.

We arranged to meet at Coast for coffee so she could tell me all about herself and I could prepare her for her makeover and photo shoot.

When Lisa and her mum arrived the following week at Studio Heaven we plied them with lots of fizz, sat Lisa in the chair with Jenna and Hilary working and weaving their magic while Lisa’s mum entertained us with some outrageous stories. The woman is a legend!

Photo 2The big reveal was one of those special moments - Lisa was totally overwhelmed when she saw her reflection in the mirror and her confidence just soared.

Once in the studio she came to life and posed like she’d been doing it all her life. She was a total natural and it was really heartwarming to see her mum standing and watching her daughter proudly from the sidelines.

Lisa was confident and full of life and the shoot was lots of fun. To see the change in her was thrilling and she left a totally different woman.

Now I’m going to hand you over to Lisa to tell you a little bit about herself and how she enjoyed the whole experience.

Photo 3“First I’d like to say a massive thank you to Emma and her team for an incredible experience that has inspired me to believe in myself again.

I’m a 44 year old single mum of two amazing boys Jack and Charlie.

My life has been a rollercoaster and sometimes challenging .

In 2012 I had to rebuild my life again and took a career change. My passion was to help make a difference in today’s tough society and I currently work as an employment and training mentor with Swansea City Council.

The start of 2016 was a pretty challenging time for me, trying to juggle the demands of being a single mum, financial burdens and life in general.

However it’s always a breath of fresh air to spend time with my closest friends. We’ve been friends since we met at school in 1986 and even though sometimes life has taken us in different directions, we have always been there for each other.

Photo 4To be nominated for the Ministry Of Glamour was one of most amazing feelings and even though the experience was outstanding - the best moment was the fact that my amazing friends had taken time to nominate me and thought so highly of me and recognised my true potential they took the time to send in an entry.

I couldn't believe that it was happening, and thought it was a joke at first when received Emma’s phone call.

The makeover and photoshoot was a fantastic experience which I absolutely loved. It’s something you dream of happening to you but usually it never does! So to be there, actually living the dream is something else!

It gave me the boost to dig deep and start believing in myself again which I had forgotten to do over past few years.

It was lovely to have true professionals use their skills on me and at first I felt a bit nervous in front of the camera but felt inspired to make the most of such an amazing opportunity.

And I did enjoy the attention :))) the extrovert in me came alive again .

Ministry of glamourTPhoto 5he whole experience came at such the right time, when I needed to start living again, to start enjoying life and living in the moment.

Thank you guys for making me believe in myself again and so here’s to 2017 with a new me and exciting new chapters to create.”

Now please step through the door of the Ministry Of Glamour to see Lisa in all her glamorous glory...
