Love it! Rock it! Own it!
When I get dressed I always think: "Where am I going and what fashion mood am I in?"
The answers to these questions determine which choices I make with my clothes, shoes and accessories - ultimately giving me an outfit I can feel confident and stylish in.
"Fashion shouldn't be taken too seriously. You've got to have fun with it, to make it work"
I want you to think of all the items in your wardrobe and all the endless possibilities of what you can create.
Let your imagination run riot. Have fun, glam up - Love it! Rock it! Own it!
This month is Halloween (or Hallowe’en for the purists!), giving us the perfect licence to go bonkers with our creativity! Not that we need much of an excuse any other time of the year!
With this in mind there was only one idea which sprung to mind: Michael Jackson’s ‘Thriller’.
And obviously I needed to be dressed in red!
I decided on a red, Halston Heritage, off-shoulder, cashmere top, vibrant red trousers with a 70s-inspired flared silhouette from Victoria Beckham, and a pair of nude Christian Louboutin heels (with their eponymous red-lacquered soles - or should that be souls?!?)
To pull off Michael’s ‘zombie’ look I wore a pair of Funky Zombie contact lenses from www.colouredlensesonline.com. This was easier said than done with Jenna having to perform the dirty deed of inserting them. I can safely say that after having Jenna touch my eyeballs multiple times that our friendship is closer than ever!!!
Nails: I briefed Rebecca from Irresistible Beauty that I wanted ‘Red-Red’ Thriller-worthy nails. With this ‘blood thirsty brief’ in mind, she painted my nails with Shellac Wildfire before going mad with the ‘Cardinal’ glitter, creating gorgeous ‘Red-Red’ sparkly nails.
Thanks Rebecca - you totally nailed the brief and created some dazzling talons. I was truly thrilled with the end result!

Hair: Created and styled by Hilary Jones from Pimped Up Pins hair salon. I’ll hand you over to Hilary to explain how she achieved this month’s mad look.
To achieve the texture I needed for Emma’s hair, I plaited her hair all over with small, individual plaits. Once they were completed I sprayed each one with hairspray.
I went over each plait with a hot crimper to achieve even more texture.
After being left to cool, all the plaits were taken out.
I added a centre parting, taking large sections and backcombing from the roots to the tips, adding both black and white-coloured hairspray, to achieve an ‘electric shock’ look.
I definitely think we achieved that!!! Move over Cruella, there’s a new vixen in town!
Thank you Hilary for creating a mad and fabulous masterpiece.
Hilary is available to cut, style and/or colour your hair at Pimped Up Pins, Treboeth, Swansea. 01792 799775.
Makeup: Created and applied by Jenna Kelly. I’ll hand you over to Jenna to tell you how she interpreted this month’s Michael Jackson ‘Thriller’ look
Ah it’s Halloween!!!
I’m going to be honest... Fancy dress isn't my thing... So whenever I get chance to turn fancy dress into a glam fest, I’m there in a heartbeat!
This is actually my one year anniversary shooting with emmaheaven.com! Although I was there when the website was a glint in her eye, a mere pencil scribble in a notebook (literally couldn’t get rid of me if she tried) and I even got to glam Emma for her very first shoot for the launch... But it was last year’s ‘Halloween’ shoot which really turned the magazine into what it is today!
Now I’d like to take all credit for that and say my Maleficent-inspired makeup on Emma was so mind-blowing that it sent shock waves through the internet... but it was in fact a combination of creative genius from Emma, a new found talent for photography from Adrian and mine and Hilary’s reluctance to actually leave Emma’s house! I mean... she has a pool-sized hot tub and endless amounts of chocolate!
Together over the last year we have managed to create 12 incredible, insanely fun photoshoots to feature in 12 incredible issues of emmaheaven.com #Proud #Smug #ItWasAllMe #JustJoking
So...obviously this shoot needed to be pretty damn good! The theme? THRILLER! YESSSSS!
My whole inspiration for this month’s look was Michael Jackson’s ‘zombie’ Thriller vibe... but created with makeup and glam!
As much as I had this look planned out, I wasn’t going to let Hilary get the better of me! The bigger the hair became, the more I was going to put on that face! And I didn't even care! None of that ‘less is more’ this month!
Thank you Jenna for creating another stunning look. You can find out all about Jenna and her work at jennakellymua.com.
