Painted By Olly

I’m Olly Heaven and I moved from Swansea to London to further my education in performing arts by attending Bird College, before going on to The Urdang Academy for dance and musical theatre.

Having performed in West End shows as a child, that experience made me want to become an even more rounded performer. I’ve always been referred to as a ‘triple threat’, that is, someone who can act, sing and dance; and now I can add self-taught makeup artist and model to the list!

Urdang Academy was closed as the country went into Covid-19 lockdown, therefore I came home to Wales with absolutely no idea what was going to happen, nor did anyone else.

My mother was in a dilemma when her makeup artist Beth was unable to work due to lockdown restrictions and the magazine would potentially come to a grinding halt.

One solution was for me to pick up the brushes, learning some SFX and makeup skills overnight, so that we could bring my mother’s bonkers ideas to life... and I absolutely fell in love with the whole experience!

After bringing four issues worth of Emma Heaven’s crazy looks to life, I was inspired to create my own alter ego ~ ‘Olivia Hell’.

After bringing Olivia to life, and showing the world my makeup skills via social media, I was scouted by a model agency working for the incredible, internationally-renowned luxurious brand Harrods.

They signed me up to be the face of the new #HBeauty - Harrods’s new beauty campaign - when they launched their brand new store at Intu Lakeside. My face - and Olivia’s - is part of a nationwide photographic and video campaign. It is the most incredible experience I have ever been involved with and I can’t wait to see what it brings.

I’ve been completely obsessed with watching people apply and play around with makeup my entire life, and I’m so excited to let you now be a part of mine and Olivia’s beauty world, sharing makeup tips, creating lots of fun and inspirational looks, discovering new products, and trialling different beauty treatments.

It’s time to bring the fun back into beauty!

And after a lot of thought ~ and countless requests from people to apply their makeup ~ it’s time to unleash my makeup skills on the world and show the world what a fabulous makeup artist I am. Yes you lovely people, I am now available for hire!

I have practised my art relentlessly.
I have purchased a ridiculous amount of makeup and tools. Remind you of anyone?! Like mother, like son…

I have all the necessary legal requirements in place, and now I am ready to paint those blank canvases to bring them to life, Olly-style. Just imagine that?! A world full of faces ‘Painted By Olly’ ~ the dream keeps evolving and growing, and I cannot wait to see where this latest adventure takes me.
