‘You are what you eat’

Balsamic Mushrooms

Ingredients:

200g chopped mushrooms
multiseed or soda bread
1 tablespoon balsamic vinegar
pinch salt & pepper
dash of oil


How to:

Add a little oil to a hot pan. Pop in all your mushrooms, salt, pepper and balsamic.

Let them cook for 4-5 minutes. Drain off any excess water from the pan and cook the mushrooms a further 2-3 minutes.

Toast your bread and top with your mushrooms.

Serve immediately.

Below I have highlighted 5 simple ways of cutting back without going too extreme with your eating.

reduce the calories you drink (e.g. milk & sugar in hot drinks, fizzy drinks, alcohol)
reduce mindless snacking
stop eating kids leftovers
reduce portion sizes
increase your movement (regular exercise, track your steps)

For a healthy lifestyle and healthy weight loss you must focus on the quality AND quantity of your food.
