Embrace the Unexpected
“It is time to wake up - it is time to stir things up, can you feel the changes within you? Why do you make things complicated for yourself? Life doesn’t need to be complicated – it is time to get to work.”
I opened my eyes, still blurry from sleep. I felt dazed, and for a moment I envisaged I was still in a dream. The voice felt familiar but I was not scared; I felt almost comforted. Was it one of my guides or my angels? No. It was my voice. It was my higher guidance. My inner wisdom calling me home.
That same morning, I put pen to paper and finally started to write the book I had been guided to do.
Have you ever received guidance and thought where has this come from? Have you acted on guidance that you knew could change your life?
I must admit I have not always acted, and for many years I have blocked the guidance, ignored it and hoped it would go away. As not all guidance we receive will come in the shape of a credit card or a new flash car.
Just by listening, answers can come at any time, especially when you are not trying to force an answer.
We could be guided to simply look after our health, change jobs or even leave a relationship that no longer serves us. These require us to get out of our comfort zone and really question our motives, just be mindful that answers can be very different to being given a direction to follow.
Sometimes you may find yourself in a stagnant state where nothing seems to be moving. This can happen when you expect the outcome to be different. Expect the unexpected. Detours, surprises, no matter how detailed your plans are and how clear you believe the road ahead to be, there are times when the best laid plans are waylaid by unforeseen circumstances.
At first this may frustrate you. But what if I told you that this is divine intervention, a chance to retrace your steps? Sometimes we must go back before we can go forward. In order to take the next step, you must question your reason why in the first step you made that choice.
- What was your motive?
- What was your reason why?
- Was the choice yours to make?
- What impacted you on making the choice?
Remember: our lives are mapped out for us. The lessons come in the detours and the choices we make. Life is magical, life is full of surprises. The trick is to learn how to play the game and have fun along the way.
As I write this column there are some amazing and life changes happening amongst the planets and Celestial Weather.
The latest planet Mercury retrograde is 5-29 March. Mercury represents mind and is a quick-moving planet which spends only two to three weeks in a sign, unless retrograde.
Mercury retrograde happens three times a year for about three weeks each time; it is interpreted particularly strongly, mental pursuits and connections breakdown.
Mercury retrograde periods are best used as a time for inner reflection; it is not a good time for making decisions or new business plans, but is ideal for reflecting on your current situation.
It is best to quietly observe your inner process during Mercury retrograde and to carry forward with your pre-existing plans.
Ask yourself “where am I heading in my life at this juncture?” Then try to move forward with new directions only after Mercury has gone direct and perhaps even a fortnight beyond when Mercury has left its retrograde shadow.
The planet Uranus has moved out of its home for the last seven years in the sign of Aries into Taurus. Uranus is the planet of revolution, sudden change and visionary progress, spending about seven years in each sign.
With Uranus in Taurus there is innovative energy to be put into practical application. There can be sudden changes in finances and values for society, and once made, they will be long lasting.
Great progress can be achieved as revolutionary approaches to saving the planet are considered and made manifest. This is a natural fit with the growing movement for conserving the Earth's resources.
The energy of Uranus is associated with innovation, revolution, rebellion, liberation and freedom. Uranus often brings us unexpected, ‘rug-pulling’ events that serve to break rules which no longer serve us, demolish outdated structures and systems, bringing us the potential for evolution and radical change.
The energy of Taurus is deeply grounded, giving us the drive to act/implement ideas and innovations.
The sign of Taurus rules finances, including earnings, banking, budgets, money and material resources. With Venus as its ruler, it also influences value systems, morals, values, security, physical possessions, personal self-esteem and talents, attitudes and Life Force Energy. Taurus, as an earth sign, also rules the land and the earth.
This is not a time for panic, it is a time to embrace the unexpected and know that you have the strength to accomplish even the most daunting of tasks. We are all being tested and redefined and our relationships deepened.
There is a plan for your life that may not match up with your agenda, are you ready to embrace it?
Have courage - dive in. If you expect the unexpected, you will be prepared for miracles.
Lots of love
