Beauty Warrior

Wouldn’t it be incredible if you could stop the ageing process? Actually it would be nothing short of a miracle!

So for now I’ll settle for trying to slow it down with facials, probes, lasers, lotions and potions - so long as no needles or knives are involved.

The world of Botox and fillers is not for me as quite frankly, the results, combined with no real understanding of the long term effects they might cause, scare the life out of me!

Join me on my quest to:

  1. Try and stop - or at least slow down - those pesky little lines in their tracks!
  2. Help tighten my skin as its elasticity or lack of, is starting to make itself known.
  3. Manage and/or adapt to the inevitable changes to our skin and bodies as we get older.

The next treatment on my quest is: The ‘at home’ facial.

Even though it is lovely to visit the salon and have a professional facial, it is just as important - probably even more so - to look after your skin at home.

My skincare regime includes a three-step cleanse, tone and moisturise, twice a day, every day and once a week I use a facial steamer.

The facial streamer I am currently using is by Dr Dennis Gross and I use it once a week for twenty minutes. The facial steamer features advanced steam fusion technology, which delivers safe yet effective blasts of steam to open your pores, remove impurities and restore essential moisture for a clear, clean and refreshed complexion.

Sometimes less is more and I think that we overload our faces with too many products, so I have gone back to basics with a simple cleanse, tone and moisturise regime every morning and night.

I am currently using Kora Organics by Miranda Kerr.

Infused with Organic Noni, Aloe Vera and Green Tea extracts, the ‘Foaming Cleanser’ is a soap free formula that clears pores.

The ‘Energising Citrus Mist’ combines Mandarin and Lemongrass Essential Oils to refresh your skin and create a healthy glow.

The ‘Purifying Moisturiser’ hydrates skin and helps prevent breakouts.

This simple regime is quick, easy and will keep your skin healthy, glowing and in tip top condition.

Getting older may be compulsory. Growing up is entirely optional! No prizes for guessing which way I’m planning to age!
