Don’t you just love a bit of bling?

I love the way jewellery can elevate an outfit in an instant. A little black dress can be transformed into a WOW outfit with a statement necklace or a fabulous pair of earrings.

A casual daytime work outfit can be transported to a ‘night out’ ensemble just by throwing on some over the top, oh-so-fabulous jewellery. I could go on and on, but I think you get the message.

It’s good to have some sparkle and bling in your life; and with this month’s shoot I wanted some serious sparkle and bling!

I wanted to shine and dazzle in spectacular style. So it was time to hunt down some wickedly big and in-your-face jewellery. It’s a tough gig, but someone’s gotta do it!

There’s only one place to go, to find something unique, different and seriously fabulous. And that place is Etsy.

The jewellery was handcrafted for me by StageJewels. They specialise in glamorous costume jewellery. The pieces I chose were colourful, sparkly, enormous and totally over the top! Standard procedure really, but have you ever seen earrings so big?!

The kimono cape was handmade for me by LadyJaneBristol. It was adorned with rainbow/silver sequins, and fringed with gold and silver. It was extravagant and eye-catching. Again, pretty standard procedure for anything and everything done by #TeamHeaven. Understatement can be so overrated!

With so much bling going on, I wanted the makeup to be simple and natural. I couldn’t wait to put my new makeup application skills to the test - courtesy of Jenna Kelly who gave me an eye makeup tutorial for this month’s Beauty Warrior.

Emboldened by such an excellent tutor, I literally put on my game face, and soldiered on to get the job done.

Kris Brown was drafted in for this month’s hair extravaganza. Oh boy, he didn’t disappoint with a fabulous, big and messy plaited up-do.

It was time to go Blingtastic.
