Wouldn’t it be incredible if you could stop the ageing process? Actually it would be nothing short of a miracle!

So for now I’ll settle for trying to slow it down with facials, probes, lasers, lotions and potions - so long as no syringes or knives are involved.

The world of Botox and fillers is not for me as quite frankly, the results, combined with no real understanding of the long term effects they might cause, scare the life out of me!

Join me on my quest to:

1. Try and stop - or at least slow down - those pesky little lines in their tracks!
2. Help tighten my skin as its elasticity or lack of, is starting to make itself known.
3. Manage and/or adapt to the inevitable changes to our skin and bodies as we get older.

Getting older may be compulsory. Growing up is entirely optional! No prizes for guessing which way I’m planning to age!

The next treatment on my quest is: Tropic Skincare Facial

This month, I tried out a beauty treatment at home, where my friend Llywela - an ambassador for Tropic Skincare - did a facial on me, using products from the famous Tropic Skincare range.

Llywela started by cleansing my face with Smoothing Cleanser complexion purifier - a luxurious cream cleanser, removing it with an organic Bamboo Face Cloth to effortlessly melt away makeup and impurities.

Next she sprayed on Vitamin Toner pore refining mist - an instant skin refresher to tone as part of your daily routine, and cool skin on the go.

Around my eyes she patted and smoothed on Eye Revive age-defying cream concentrate - a silky cream to boost collagen around the eye area.

Next came my favourite product, Super Greens nutrient boost serum - a shot of healthy greens that boost your skin’s natural defences and nutrient levels.

To finish off we mixed Skin Revive nourishing cream concentrate (a daily moisturiser hero, packed with 20 skin-loving fruit and flower extracts), with Summer Goddess shimmering body oil (a hydrating body oil infused with golden shimmer, perfect for those who want that radiant holiday glow). This made my skin look healthy and glowing - a little tip I picked up from a top international makeup artist - you can thank me later…
