Wow! This song by British 80s pop group and Eurovision Song Contest winners, Bucks Fizz, brings back so many wonderful childhood memories; a time of dressing up as princesses, fairies, mermaids, unicorns - a whole host of beautiful, mythical, and magical creatures. As a child, your imagination knows no bounds and you can play all day in The Land Of Make Believe…

One member of #TeamHeaven in particular is fascinated by unicorns. It’s fair to go as far to say that she is quite obsessed with them; I don’t think it takes a huge stretch of the imagination to guess who it could be?! YES, you’re right - it’s our very own fitness and nutrition expert, Tara Hammett. You can only begin to imagine how excited she was when I revealed this month’s shoot to her.

Tara wasn’t alone. Everyone on the team was excited about this one. Probably because these fantastical creatures appeal to the big kid inside all of us!

Beth went into overdrive at the endless possibilities this threw her way with the special effects #SFX. More so than usual, she went into turbo-creative mode this month with the glitter, jewels, makeup, paint and petals. Yes. You read that right. PETALS!

#DrumRoll #EyeRoll…! Beth being, ummm Beth did not want to do your stereotypical unicorn makeup; she wanted to create her own unique version of this gorgeous mythical creature.

Hilary was also raring to be unleashed! She had her hands full when she discovered the enormous unicorn horn headpiece I had lovingly crafted with synthetic coloured hair, tulle, and hundreds of pearls which would be entwined with my own hair, that had been sprayed in a kaleidoscope of colours and glitters. So far, so good. So subtle… #SituationNormal!

This month’s shoot was ALL about the hair and makeup. But because we’re not *that* kind of a magazine, and I’m not *that* kind of gal, we added an uber-glamorous, striking, iridescent, sequined kimono. Et voila, one magical unicorn! Right between the eyes, #TeamHeaven style!
