‘You are what you eat’
Fancy this Harissa Spiced Sausage & Egg Recipe?
Here it is:
8 Chicken sausages
1 Diced onion
1 Small pack sliced cherry tomatoes
12-14 Pistachio nuts
1 Tablespoon Harissa paste
1 Teaspoon Coconut oil
Pop the oil into a hot pan. Add the sausages and onions and cook for 8-10 mins until softened and browned. Add the tomatoes and mix in the Harissa paste. Keep mixing for a few minutes until tomatoes have softened. Crack the eggs into the pan and pop under the grill until the eggs are cooked. Once cooked sprinkle the nuts all over and serve. This recipe makes 4 servings.
‘Feel the fear - but do it anyway’
Do you get that often?
You feel shattered but you wake in the night and just can't get back to sleep.
It's common and frustrating and there's many things you can try to do to aid sleep.
* Switch off TV's & computers in plenty of time before bed
* Stay away from caffeine which may make you feel wired
* Have a read to make you feel dozy and drift off
...but sometimes, even when you've tried all of those, it still doesn't work.
Have you tried taking magnesium?
This supplement has many benefits, including:
- sleep improvement
- help reduce stress and prevent depression
- recovery from training
- could even help you burn fat
You can try and get more magnesium through your diet by eating:
- dark leafy greens - spinach, kale, chard
- nuts & seeds - almonds, Brazil nuts, pumpkin seeds
- legumes - lentils, chickpeas
- Fish - salmon, mackerel
- dark chocolate >>>YUMMERS!
But even then you could find you're not getting enough.
So if you're thinking you could do with more relaxation and better sleep, consider adding a few Epsom salt baths (which is high in Magnesium) into your weekly routine, and taking a daily magnesium supplement.
Hopefully this will help you feel more relaxed and refreshed and...as we know, the more sleep we get, the better our fat burning potential.
Hope these Magnesium tips help.
I’m going to leave you with an extra special treat - a little daily exercise plan.
