**Be Our Guest**

Be our guest headline photoAbout six months ago #teamheaven decided to do a Disney-themed shoot to coincide with the 25th anniversary of Disneyland Paris opening.

Beauty And The Beast is one of my favourite films, so the wheels were put in motion to produce our very own Beauty And The Beast shoot.

So far... so good!

Then I had what I now refer to as ‘a moment of insanity’!

I wanted to record Beauty And The Beast’s soundtrack with the talented singer Martin Broad! Bearing in mind I haven’t sung since I was 17 years old I don’t know what was I thinking?!

I know I like a challenge - and this was verging on bonkers - but do you know what? You only live once - I’m going to have as much fun as I possibly can; and if there’s something I want to do - I’m going to give it a go.

With the recording studio booked, Martin and I practised the song together - TWICE!

D-Day arrived with a mixture of excitement, nerves and quite a bit of “OMG - what have I talked/sung myself into!” Putting any of those concerns to one side, it was so much fun. Martin is a riot and it was hard to keep a straight face whilst singing, as we kept bursting into fits of laughter.

Finally, with the song in the bag - produced by the very talented and very patient Jeff Alvey - it was time for the photo shoot.

Creative genius Rianon Jones of RiCreations was drafted in to create a beautiful rose centrepiece, which would form the backdrop of the photos. It was huge - and absolutely spellbinding. I also had the famous ‘rose in the glass case’, which made the shoot feel all the more authentic.

The dress I wore had forlornly hung in my wardrobe for years just waiting for that ‘special occasion’. It was made by a French designer, and even though I didn’t know where or when I would wear it, I just had to have it.

The base colour of the dress is yellow, with a multi-coloured floral design all over. The waistline has a band encrusted with a kaleidoscope of jewels. The top half is corset style, which took two people to help me put it on, leaving me, and them quite breathless. Luckily for them they could walk away and catch their breaths!

The outfit was completed with yellow silk gloves and a pair of nude Louboutins. Perfect!

The shoot was inspired, not replicated, by Beauty & The Beast, where we put our own spin on the theme, having so much fun in the process.

Here’s how she created the Belle-inspired nails.

Lucy MichaelHello everyone.

Well how exciting to be featured in emmaheaven.com....

I'm Lucy Michael, owner of Irresistible Beauty salon, and I had the privilege of designing Emma's fabulous nails for this month’s shoot, while the lovely Miss Clarke is on her holidays!

When Emma told me this month’s theme would be Beauty And The Beast, I could barely contain my excitement...after all who doesn't love Disney?

My first thought? These nails not only need to be a beautiful shade of yellow, they need to be magical!

After seeing Emma's gorgeous dress for the shoot, I was inspired to design two crystallised nails to match the embellishments on the dress, with a heartwarming addition - a heart in the centre of the nail - this is a love story after all!

Before bringing on the bling, I needed to change the shape of Emma's nails back to a softer rounded style. Two coats of Shellac’s Bicycle Yellow, and burnished Lecente Banana Lemon glitter were applied to her nails.

These two colours work so well together, perfectly recreating the yellow of Belle's dress, with a sparkle I know Emma loves!

Already the nails looked stunning, but they could still benefit from some extra wow factor. Using different sizes of Ab nail crystals and two shades of purple crystals, I recreated the embellishment from her dress.

As the embodiment of love, a gorgeous olive-green, heart-shaped crystal in the centre of the nails to complete the design.

These were truly magical!

Here is how she achieved the Belle hair style.

Ola,Hilary

Inspired by Beauty And The Beast’s Belle, I put Emma’s hair in a centre parting, curling and pinning her hair all over with medium straighteners, and left them to cool.

Once the pins were taken out, the curls were brushed through to create a soft wave.

I sectioned each side of the front of Emma’s hair from the parting, to the back of the ear, lightly backcombed a circular section at the crown and swept the hair in a circular motion, smoothing it as I went to create a beautiful rose shape.

This was pinned and sprayed to secure it in place.

I finished by twisting the two side pieces loosely back, securing with more pins and hairspray - the length was brushed to one side to complete the look.

One Disney Princess hairstyle ready to go...

Makeup: Created and applied by Jenna Kelly.

Here’s how she interpreted this month’s look.

**Jenna Kelly**

JennaFor this month’s Beauty And The Beast theme we totally pared back Emma's entire makeup glam. In both the original and remake of the film (which by the way is stunning) Belle has a very natural glowing look.

For Emma we used some simple products and techniques. A few key tricks I used are listed below:

Mix together a face oil with the moisturiser to prep (it’s all about hydrated skin).

I mixed MAC's strobe cream in with Emma's foundation for extra glowy, dewy skin.

No false lashes, just a slick of black mascara.

A pink blush to the cheek (Dior's rosy glow) and a sweep of gold highlighter over the eyes (Kiko 208) for a youthful finish.

The final look was pretty, fresh-faced and spring inspired.

Very different to our usual fierce glam, this month’s soft glowing look was a perfect homage to beautiful Belle!

It's always good to mix up your makeup bag once in a while, and what better time to create this glam look than at the start of spring!

My challenge to all you readers this month? Pare it back! Get ready for spring and practise your 'no makeup' makeup looks... it is ALL the trend this spring/summer!

Have fun with it! Be glowy!!!
