Feed Me

Welcome to your monthly slice of #FoodHeaven: Feed Me.

Welcome back fellow foodies! Feed Me is here and ready to send you to new #FoodHeaven heights. The column where I - Christie Heaven - will be filling my face with the most mouthwatering treats that South Wales has to offer.

Let’s take a look at our food bucket list, shall we? Burger. Check. Rainbow cake. Check. Our food adventures are far from over. So, hold onto your taste buds, we’ve blasted off to Pizza Planet courtesy of The Hyst!

How do you like your pizza? Deep pan or thin crust? All the toppings or your favourite few? That’s the magic of this doughy circle of cheesy yumminess. It’s the ultimate personal paradise where no pizza experience is the same...but don’t worry, there’s no pineapple here. #SorryHawaiian

However, what I had the pleasure of devouring hadn’t been pulled straight out from the freezer. Chef lovingly mixed, kneaded and shaped handmade dough right before our eyes. Next came a ladle full of fresh tomato and herb sauce which oozed over that base and then it was time for the toppings. Chosen for this pizza venture were: ham, mushrooms and red onions. Yum in this tum.

But then came the...CHEESE BLIZZARD!

I’ve never seen so much cheese and suffice to say I couldn’t wait for the pizza to get out of that oven.

How did it taste? Just as it looks: cheesy, moreish and downright tasty. There’s no beating that homemade freshness and if you don’t manage it all in one go, I won’t judge if you have a pizza breakfast the next morning.

Head over to The Hyst to try this pizza perfection yourself at 218 High Street, Swansea SA1 1PE and tell us what you think!
