Love it! Rock it! Own it!

When I get dressed I always think: "Where am I going and what fashion mood am I in?"

The answers to these questions determine which choices I make with my clothes, shoes and accessories - ultimately giving me an outfit I can feel confident and stylish in.

"Fashion shouldn't be taken too seriously. You've got to have fun with it, to make it work"
Every edition I am going to share with you:

**What’s in my Wardrobe**

Before AfterThis month was all about smashing my weightloss goal and finally wearing a spectacular Herve Leger outfit I bought at the very start of the 15 week programme.

We named it my ‘Victory Outfit’ and boy what a fabulous one it was!

The sleeveless luxe black top had an off the shoulder neckline, with an all-over bandage construction and a centre back zipper.

The luxe black skirt is made up of individual knit bandages, hand-trimmed and engineered to hang in perfectly aligned patterns. The end result is fun, modern and full of movement.

This outfit was teamed with a pair of black leather cutout heels.

No accessories were needed as this outfit was the star of the show!

I felt absolutely amazing in this outfit - victorious even! - and it was so so worth all the weeks of hard work to reach this point.

Nails

Nails: Rebecca from Irresistible Beauty painted my nails with a deep pink/purple polish called Tango Passion, covering the nails with a glitter called She-Devil, made up of a kaleidescope of colours. It is one of my favourite combinations which looked fabulous with the outfit and wouldn’t look out of place in the vibrancy of Jamaica!

Book yourself into Irresistible Beauty on 01792 773887 and let them work their mani/pedi-magic on your nails too.

***Hot Off the press*** Congratulations to Lucy and her talented (or should that be talon-ted...?) team at Irresistible Beauty Salon who won Beauty Salon of the Year, South West in the annual Welsh Hair and Beauty Awards at the weekend. Well done ladies - truly deserved. And a great excuse for us to crack open some fizz on my next visit!

Hair

Hair: Created and styled by Hilary Jones and Dann Williams from Pimped Up Pins hair salon. I’ll hand you over to Hilary to explain how they achieved this month’s gorgeous curly creation.

**Hil-hair-ious styling**

“Ola”Hil hair ious style

I normally style Emma’s hair at the photoshoot but as she was having ‘chop stick’ curls - tight spiral curls using a very small wand - Emma came into Pimped Up Pins Salon.

Both Dann Williams and I worked on Emma’s hair, as these curls are time consuming, and can take over an hour to complete.

Using heat protection spray, small sections were taken and wrapped around the wand - left for ten seconds - unwrapped and left to cool. This was methodically done all over.

Once completed we applied gloss drops to our hands, separated the curls and ran our hands down the hair from root to tip.

This allows the curls to bounce and thicken, giving a beautiful texture to the hair.

This style does take time to do, but is so worth it as the results lasts for days!

Hilary xx

Makeup: Created and applied by Jenna Kelly. I’ll hand you over to Jenna to tell you how she achieved the look.

**’Jenna-rate’ the look**

Jenna KellyAh the ‘Victory Shoot’! It seems like only yesterday that Emma was telling me about the challenge she was about to undertake with such a big weight loss goal! She not only successfully completed it but absolutely smashed her goal, and showcased her gorgeous teeny waist in the most beautiful Herve Leger outfit... She's very lucky I didn't stash it in my kit bag as I was leaving! It was STUNNING!

She'd already told me about the huge crazy hair she was planning with Hilary, so I wanted to create a makeup look that was super super simple but so effective at the same time!

Time for a JK bronzing!

With influence from the beautiful JLo - one of my and Emma's beauty and makeup influences - I created a quick and simple, no frills 30 minute makeup, that would focus on shaping the face and adding a glow to the skin.

In homage to the gorgeous outfit and hair I wanted this look to be very fashion forward, easy and quick to create. And above all, effortless.

EyesEyes: I defined Emma's eyebrows first with a very thin eyebrow pencil creating upwards strokes like hairs, brushing up with a brown brow set gel to create a fluffy and on trend brow. Using a bronze cream eyeshadow I covered the lid before setting with a bronze powder eyeshadow, highlighting the brow bone with a gorgeous gold highlighting powder from Mac called Global Glow. A summer must have! All rounded off with lots of mascara for full lashes and that’s the eyes done!

Notice I didn't apply false lashes this time, as the hair was such a statement I didn't want to overpower the makeup... Plus, there's been a step away from false lashes on the red carpet recently.

FaceFace: For a glowing complexion, using a beauty blender I applied a sheer, hydrating foundation (Mac Face and Body) all over the skin, working it in until it looked like a second skin. I followed this with a similar texture concealer (my fave Dior nude concealer) under the eye area, covering any darkness to accentuate the fresh look of the skin. With a cream based foundation, fuller coverage, I added small amounts to the areas of the skin which needed that little extra cover, and used the same type in a darker colour to create the contours of Emma's face.

Set with a loose powder the look was so beautiful. A really natural looking and flawless skin. My fave!

I added a little bronzer to the contoured areas with a hint of blush for colour. Using the global glow highlighter mentioned above, I brushed it over the cheekbones and bridge of the nose with a fan brush. This adds just the right amount of product without being wet looking or glittery.

Emma has such lovely skin. As she's always looked after it so well this type of look on her skin is my favourite... And her own. She wears little coverage when she does her own makeup and accentuates her glow. Perfect!

Lips: Now I have a gorgeous little lipstick to tell you about and you really should all run to the shops to get one. You can thank me later!

"JLo's Nude" by L'Oreal! And it's a bargain at around £8/£9.

The texture of this lipstick is so creamy and it lasts as well as any luxury brand lipstick I've ever used. The colour is nude - it's not beige, brown, apricot or pink toned - it's just a real juicy looking nude! I have no idea how they've created this gorgeous colour but it is perfect for the summer. Grab one while you can - I'm obsessed!

And that's it! It's that simple. A gorgeous glowing bronze look focused on fabulously contoured cheek bones, golden glows and nude lips! Beautiful! We all need a good 30 minute ‘go to’ glam. And this is one of my faves. Keep it simple, take into account your hair - if it's huge (as my natural fro always is) then don't try and add in too much texture and craziness if your hair is already doing the talking!

JK xx
