Love it! Rock it! Own it!

When I get dressed I always think: "Where am I going and what fashion mood am I in?"

The answers to these questions determine which choices I make with my clothes, shoes and accessories - ultimately giving me an outfit I can feel confident and stylish in.

"Fashion shouldn't be taken too seriously. You've got to have fun with it, to make it work"
Every edition I am going to share with you:

**What’s in my Wardrobe**

This month we shall be celebrating our silver wedding anniversary. I cannot believe we have been married for 25 years! Where has the time gone?

With a silver wedding theme to play with, my creative mind went into overdrive, visualising flowing white fabric and silver crystals shimmering everywhere: crystals on my outfit, crystals decorating my face, crystals entwined in my hair. You get the idea...?!

I wanted an outfit which conveyed, romance, enchantment, magic, excitement and fun. These are also some of the words I use to describe my marriage!

The white top by Chalayan is woven with soft, ‘fil coupe’ threads to give it a wispy, fringe-like finish. Its crisp cotton-poplin design has a slightly elongated hem and draped back ties that flow gently with every step.

The top is co-ordinated with white, silk, wide-legged trousers by Roberto Cavalli which floated along the ground.

I completed the look with custom-made Swarovski Crystal shoes.

Nails: Rebecca from Irresistible Beauty transformed my nails into a ‘dipped in diamonds’ look with CND Shellac in Cityscape, covering them in a chunky, rough Crushed Silver glitter.

Thank you Rebecca for my 25th anniversary nails - they compliment the outfit perfectly and sparkle beautifully.

Hair: Created and styled by Hilary Jones from Pimped Up Pins hair salon. I’ll hand you over to Hilary to explain how she achieved this month’s ‘encrusted with crystals’ look.

“Ola”Hilary

This month the brief was ‘silver’ to celebrate Emma and Adrian’s 25th wedding anniversary.

Emma’s hair was curled using heat spray and medium straighteners.

Once cooled, the curls were shaken out and the front was raked back using my fingers.

The hair was loosely french plaited. Once it was banded at the tail end, I went through the plait, pulling it out to thicken the whole look.

To add sparkle to the look, I liberally placed Emma’s Swarovski Crystal pins throughout the plait. This made the plait shimmer and dazzle - by far this is one of my favourite looks!

**’Jenna-rate’ the look**

Jenna25 happy years of marriage for Mr & Mrs Heaven! Now that’s worth celebrating!
In homage to Emma’s ‘silver anniversary’ she wanted to create something striking and classy... As always, Emma gave me full creative control!

Now silver as makeup does make me cringe a little... It’s one of ‘those’ colours that can ever so easily go insanely wrong in 0.2 seconds! It’s cold, metallic and harsh!
However... warm that baby up, darken her out a bit and oh my!!!

I scrapped the cold pale silver, trading it in for a dark gunmetal colour with a warm caramel edge. It shouldn’t work... But it really does!

And as you can see with Emma’s hair, she literally looked like she had been dappled with unicorn’s tears! The sparkle was beautiful... I wanted that to delicately transition onto the face without looking ‘ice queen’ or ‘fancy dress’.

Cue the mood board...
